had totally forgotten I have a wedding dress! Bought it almost two years ago. Now I've gained some weight since then. It was a size 40 and I was almost normal weight. Now I think I have to get a laser liposuction. Groom says I don't need to lose weight but there are so many reasons to do it.

Finally! No more half-assed workouts. I actually made it into the gym last night for my first 30 minutes of cardio for the week. I had been totally putting it off and just doing some walking or whatever the first two weeks (I actually counted dancing at a concert as one of my exercise days last week - I'm terrible). With all the things going on with me I hadn't been to the gym in about 6 weeks (something I'm totally embarrassed about) and that really did a number on my stamina. I felt really winded early in the workout! I'm not what you would call "fit" by any stretch, but I was really doing well on my own for a while and my sudden stopping didn't help me out at all.

So, everyone - keep it up! It felt great afterward to see that I had really done something good. We'll see if I can get another work-out in tonight.

This week's goal is 30 minutes of aerobic workout at least three times this week

If you find you're losing steam, maybe vent a little on this community.  I found it pretty helpful to get some inspiration from the group when I started lagging.

Well, I lost 2 pounds and nearly 2 inches off my waist doing home improvement. Yeah, alternative exercise!

Well, the first week is over...and in some ways, one of the hardest parts of the workout is over.  If you haven't been exercising for a while, getting started can be the biggest step!!  You should all give yourselves big pats on the back!!

This week, the goal is another 3 days of 20 minute aerobic exercise.

If you didn't make the goal last week, don't beat yourself up about it, and certainly don't give up!!!  Remember, it's just a goal!  *Any* exercise you can fit in will be beneficial.  Sometimes we get busy, things get in the way, or it's just plain hard to motivate ourselves.  It happens!! If you weren't able to get 3 workouts in last week, think about setting this week's goal at 4 work-outs.

And good luck!!!

(oh, and thanks for the motivation on Friday...I got the work-out in and then went dress shopping after work...and I found The Dress!!!!!  It looks wonderful on me now, but I can't even imagine how perfect it will look when I'm more fit!)

Matt and I have been working on our new house since Friday and I'm soooo sore. I pulled carpet and disintegrated pads, pulled staples, scraped tile glue (that was 8 hours of work), scraped paint, and dabbed wood putty everywhere. And we're not even done yet :) I know I haven't changed weight, but I'll take my measurements tomorrow morning.

Need....motivation!!!

I've gotten the minimum three workouts in this week, but I was going to do another today during my lunch hour...however, I was also thinking of going wedding dress browsing....I know I should work out, but the browsing would be so much more fun!!!!!!!!

So I didn't work out *at all* the last two days. I had a nasty sinus headache and my head hurt if I moved around too much. Yuck! But I got in a 45 minute workout video today and did the Knot's strength workout... well, OK, so I couldn't do all the push-ups... :-) I have a date with a friend to go to the gym tomorrow too, so I'll get my 3 cardio workouts in.
